The People Behind the Mission

About Us

Mission Statement

To deliver accessible healthcare and essential resources to communities in need, guided by compassion and a commitment to equity.

Vision Statement

A more equitable world where every individual has the foundation to live a healthier and more secure life.

Compassion

We treat every patient with the dignity and warmth they deserve, not the care they can afford.

Equity

We go where the need is greatest, not where it's easiest to reach.

Integrity

Every dollar raised goes directly toward care, with full transparency to our donors and communities.

Excellence

We hold our medical missions to the same standard of care patients would receive anywhere else.

Service

We show up, consistently and without condition, because reliability is part of the care we provide.

Community

We build lasting partnerships with the communities we serve, not one-time visits.

About Dr. Franklyn Aguebor

The Doctor Behind the Mission

Some of the most defining moments in life are not found in success, they are found in what we witness. For Dr. Franklyn Aguebor, the foundation of his life’s work began in Benin City, Nigeria, where he grew up surrounded by both incredible resilience and heartbreaking inequality.

From an early age, he witnessed families forced to make impossible choices between healthcare and basic survival. Illnesses that could have been prevented or treated often became life-altering simply because care was inaccessible. Pain became a part of everyday life for many, not because solutions didn’t exist, but because opportunity did not. Those experiences never left him.

Later in life, as he pursued his education and eventually became a dentist, Dr. Aguebor began traveling on local and international humanitarian missions. Whether serving communities in remote villages or underserved neighborhoods, the stories were strikingly familiar. Parents silently endured years of dental pain because treatment was unattainable. Children struggled to eat because of poverty. Elderly individuals accepted suffering as a normal part of aging because they had never seen a healthcare provider. Families lacked not only access to medical care, but also reliable food, safe shelter, and the basic resources needed to live with dignity.

Elderly individuals accepted suffering as a normal part of aging because they had never seen a healthcare provider. Families lacked not only access to medical care, but also reliable food, safe shelter, and the basic resources needed to live with dignity.

He realized something profound:

Healthcare alone could not solve the problem. A healthy smile means little if someone is hungry. Medical treatment is temporary if a family has nowhere safe to sleep. Lasting change requires caring for the whole person.

That realization became the catalyst for FAME Foundation. Fame Foundation was created from the belief that every human being deserves more than survival, they deserve the opportunity to thrive. It exists to remove barriers that keep people trapped in cycles of hardship by providing free dental care, expanding access to healthcare, improving food security, and supporting safe shelter for vulnerable communities around the world.

For Dr. Aguebor, philanthropy is not a project – it is a responsibility. Every mission trip reinforces the same truth: behind every statistic is a person with dreams, a family with hope, and a life that can be transformed by something many of us take for granted. A dental procedure can restore confidence. A warm meal can restore strength. A safe place to sleep can restore peace. Sometimes the smallest act of compassion becomes the beginning of an entirely different future.

Dr. Aguebor believes that we rise not by what we accumulate, but by what we give. Through FAME Foundation, his vision extends far beyond dentistry. His goal is to help build healthier communities, restore human dignity, and inspire others to recognize that compassion is one of the world’s most powerful forms of leadership. Because when people are given the foundation to be healthy, nourished, and secure, they are given something even greater: The opportunity to dream again!
